What is the difference between organic and eco-friendly products?
Organic products are made from ingredients that are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, and are often certified by a regulatory body. Eco-friendly products, on the other hand, are designed to have minimal impact on the environment throughout their entire lifecycle, from production to disposal. While organic products focus on the natural ingredients used, eco-friendly products consider the overall environmental impact of the product. In essence, organic products focus on the ingredients, while eco-friendly products focus on the entire product lifecycle. **
Is organic sustainable?
Organic farming practices can be more sustainable than conventional methods in terms of reducing chemical inputs, promoting biodiversity, and improving soil health. However, there are challenges to the scalability and efficiency of organic farming, which can impact its overall sustainability. For example, organic farming typically requires more land and labor to produce the same amount of food as conventional methods, which can limit its ability to meet global food demand. Additionally, the transportation and distribution of organic products can have a higher environmental impact due to their shorter shelf life and the need for refrigeration. Overall, while organic farming has many sustainable benefits, there are also limitations to its long-term sustainability on a large scale. **

Hofner Committee Gloss Natural 1960 Modified Hollow Body Electric Guitar Gloss Natural - RefurbishedThis is a modified Hofner Committee Hollow Body guitar in Natural finish. The Committee was the top end of Hofner's archtop offerings in the Selmer catalogue, and was produced exclusively for sale in the UK. The model was introduced in 1953, and was in continuous production until around 1969. Both acoustic & electric models were available, both sporting luxurious appointments, high quality materials & plenty of ornamental features such as the headstock design & inlay work, not to mention ornate binding & purfling. The Committee was listed in the 1960 catalogue at a price of 63gns, equivalent to £66.15 in decimal terms, and worth in excess of £1900 in today's money. The electronics have been added at some stage in the guitar's life - likely quite recently due to the condition of the wiring & pickups which appear almost brand new. Please see 'Electrics' in the Luthier Report below for further details. This electric conversion has been tastefully performed, with what appear to be modern equivalents of the Hofner 511 Staple pickup being installed. The original 1960 Committee electrics would have sported a small control panel, as was common on a lot of Hofner electric instruments. The Maple neck plays very nicely, with a profile which might be described as a smooth 'D' profile well suited to a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The Ebony of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers and provides a luxurious playing surface to explore. The archtop body is comfortable in the arms in both standing & seated positions, and even at 65 years old, the instrument retains a sense of luxury that is very pleasing. The Staple type pickups do a great job of capturing the acoustic tone of the instrument, and with the independent volume & tone controls ensure that you are able to dial in just the right tone for any musical situation. Well preserved & tastefully modified, this is a beautiful instrument that is ready to serve as a musical companion to its new owner for many more years. The corners of the rear face demonstrate light indentation and chipping of the finish. Neck: Overall very good condition. Very light delamination of the finish near the binding means that the seam between the binding and neck can be lightly felt in the playing position. Filled holes are apparent at the fingerboard extension, likely where a floating pickup was previously fitted. Body: Overall very good condition. Hofner Verythin HVSC-R Red Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar red - RefurbishedThis is a Hofner Verythin HVSC-R Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Red finish. With Chinese woodwork, and finally assembly and set-up in Germany, this guitar consists of a Maple body with a Spruce top, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include a Tune-o-Matic bridge with roller saddles, a Bigsby B70 tailpiece with added Vibramate plate, Sperzel tuners, and a set of Hofner Diamond Humbuckers. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. The Hofner Verythin truly lives up to its name with its body depth of only 1.5 inches, feeling light and easy to play. The neck is a rounded ‘C’ shape, filling the hand pleasantly and its jumbo frets making bending a breeze. The cutaway is shallower than your typical semi-hollow body electric guitar, granting easy access to the upper frets and the tune-o-matic bridge with roller saddles, and Bigsby B70 tailpiece with added Vibramate plate keep the guitar feeling solid and stable. The two Hofner Diamond Logo Pickups sound meaty and thick without having too high of an output. When amplified, the guitar sounds very clear and articulate, and the pickups certainly translate this attribute well while also providing plenty of power. The Verythin HVSC-R is resonant, especially for a guitar of its humble thickness and it sustains very well, feeling responsive yet controlled when plugged in.
